Hi Dl! I already left Bali and hadn’t had the chance to say goodbye to you! I think you were on the road on a retreat. I didn’t get to share much time with you two lovely couple, but enough to feel your amazing good energy! You probably get this a lot from everyone, but each content person is a world and even helping one soul is the huge, imagine making a lot of them happy? And this is what you guys do! You are an example of work and love, being married for so long and sharing your magic creating such a beautiful place for all of us!I can’t THANK YOU enough! And I know my friends feel the same, and everyone I’ve sent to Serenity too! I appreciate the little details, like your wife collecting and filling the place with flowers religiously every morning, the smile and caring from all the ppl who work there, from Yangxia, alit, to willy and the guys from the shuttle, and the restaurant, and massage area, the teachers! Puspa, Mano, yogi! Etc! What a big family you are! And seeing you teaching them how to fix bikes while having fun, and gathering together to sing songs in Balinese! Just shows me how close u all are. I wanted to send you my love, recognize all your hard work and say Thank you! I will be back “home” next year for sure! And I’ll be more prepared as well!

Lovely relaxed place, the atmosphere is very chilled out and they have a lovely set up with the gardens mingled in with the paths winding to the rooms. It's very quiet during the day and at night. Staff are really friendly and helpful. They have a golf buggy to drop you off at the top of the road. Breakfast was very plentiful with a nice selection, they even prepared a breakfast to take away as we were setting off early for a trip to Tanah Lot. Pool is lovely and the beach is literally a minute walk away. A little TLC is needed (e.g. shower head needs replacing, water flying off in every direction except the one you want! The towels they have hanging around the external bathrooms for drying your hands looked like they had seen better days). Unfortunately we had an unwelcome visitor on our 2nd and 3rd night. The staff were lovely and refunded us our 3rd night stay as we weren't comfortable staying in the room after seeing Mr Rat running rampant! FYI if you are in Freedom room (or maybe the bamboo hut in general), absolutely do not have any food with you. Even fully sealed like ours - some warning needs to be on the website as this room/building is totally open to the elements. There is some chicken wire up but again, as above, it's seen better days and doesn't seal the open areas of the room. Take a torch as the road leading up to the main road is relatively unlit, there isn't really anyone around after dark either. Had I been travelling alone I'm not sure I would have felt comfortable leaving the guesthouse at night, that said it seemed safe enough.

We stayed for several days at Serenity and even prolonged our stay. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the staff was always super nice and tried to help wherever they could. The area is very green, the rooms are clustered in a kind of organic way. The rooms are clean, have a small safe and a mosquito net. Serenity is located at walking distance from the sea and on a less busy street so it is quite quiet.

This was my first hostel experience and I was surprised at how peaceful, respectful and accommodating everyone there was. It is the perfect retreat at a very reasonable price. I even lost my glasses and the reception got in touch with me via Whatsapp to tell me they had found them. Thank you for a beautiful stay.

I visited Serenity Eco Guesthouse for a week long yoga retreat. It was a fantastic experience- thanks mostly to the yoga instructors and organisers of the retreat Maria and Bente. They were professional, helpful, friendly and encouraging. The food at the restaurant onsite was fresh, healthy and tasty. The accommodation was basic and comfortable. The yoga rooms were lovely and airy. The pool was clean and surrounded by plenty of sun lounges. The beach and local pubs, shops and cafes were within walking distance. All in all a wonderful week and I would definitely return!

Great place to stay with a relaxing atmosphere all around. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. They make a big effort to help you with everything. It has everything you need. A warm place to feel at peace. Good location as well, near the beach. The rooms are ok, nothing special. But you don't need more, you're there to go outside the room, to try some yoga!
